Schoolmarm

I tried on three different bottoms with this shirt this morning before reverting to an old standard – this skirt, which I know goes with pretty much everything. In fact, my entire bottom half, from skirt to belt to shoes, is the same as last Friday. But what I can do? The one thing this skirt doesn’t go with is flats, and this is the only pair of heels I can wear comfortably, and this is the only belt that goes with these heels. Well actually my Wet Seal bow belt matches them too. Oh well. I won’t do it again, I promise. At least the shirt is different, right?

To explain the title: in order to make it different from Friday’s outfit, I decided not to accessorize with a brooch and went with my locket watch instead. It was the watch that pushed the outfit into “schoolmarm” territory I think. If the skirt had been longer and the shirt had had long sleeves, I would look right at home as a schoolteacher in Little House On The Prairie ๐Ÿ˜›

love, love, love this silhouette! It’s modest and pretty and super-flattering. I would LIVe in that skirt and I think the belt and shoes perfectly compliment your blue color scheme here. I tend to pair the same belt and shoes a lot, especially with certain skirts or dresses, because it’s easy to get comfortable when you know a certain pairing always works. If it’s any consolation, I wouldn’t have noticed the repeat ๐Ÿ™‚
PS, re: the floral wedges- there are a lot of floral options out right now that aren’t as extreme as the heel I chose. Good luck finding a pair that work for you!! cant wait to see what you end up with!

There’s nothing wrong with having the same look and similar items…it works for a reason right? Good luck with the remix challenge. =)
