Schoolmarm

I tried on three different bottoms with this shirt this morning before reverting to an old standard – this skirt, which I know goes with pretty much everything. In fact, my entire bottom half, from skirt to belt to shoes, is the same as last Friday. But what I can do? The one thing this skirt doesn’t go with is flats, and this is the only pair of heels I can wear comfortably, and this is the only belt that goes with these heels. Well actually my Wet Seal bow belt matches them too. Oh well. I won’t do it again, I promise. At least the shirt is different, right?

To explain the title: in order to make it different from Friday’s outfit, I decided not to accessorize with a brooch and went with my locket watch instead. It was the watch that pushed the outfit into “schoolmarm” territory I think. If the skirt had been longer and the shirt had had long sleeves, I would look right at home as a schoolteacher in Little House On The Prairie 😛
