SIA: Solar System Quilt

Welcome to another week of SIA! Our inspiration is the Solar System quilt by American teacher/astronomer Ellen Harding Baker, and everybody put together their best celestial-themed outfit, so let’s get to it!

First up is Shelbee, who wore her yellow jacket with a tulle dress covered in gold stars and star-embroidered velvet booties, which I’m totally drooling over:

Up next is Mike, who chose his striped shirt as a nod to his favorite planet, Jupiter:

My co-host, Daenel, went with this ruffled tunic because the color reminds her of the gold in the quilt, and the ruffles reflect the rings of the planets:

My other co-host, Terri, chose a more minimalist approach:

Sally is a new participant – welcome, Sally! Are her polka-dot top and layered necklace spot-on or what?

Reni looks lovely in her striped shirt and starry scarf:

And finally, here’s me:

Big thanks to all the participants! This is my last challenge as host this year, but don’t forget to come back next week for Daenel’s inspiration of choice.
