SIA: The Roses Of Heliogabalus

Everybody brought out their best pink/floral outfits to celebrate summer (and death by rose petals), as inspired by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema’s “The Roses of Heliogabalus“, so let’s get to it!

First up is Melissa of Peace and Crumbs, with the perfect backdrop for her photo – isn’t it gorgeous?

Next we have Xat of Rabbit Style News, who managed to find a great pink-and-red printed dress to mimic the swirls of petals in the painting:

Our co-host, Jen of Librarian for Life and Style, is getting ready to move, but before packing up her clothes, she decided to kept out a pink dress for SIA just in case. Lucky indeed!

Our other co-host, Erin of Loop Looks, tries hard to find some pink flowers for her photo, but I’d say she has the perfect accessory already!

We can always count on Kezzie to bring some quirky fun to SIA, and this time she didn’t disappoint – those are flamingos printed on her top!

And finally, here’s me:

Thank you ladies for another successful SIA! Check back next week for another inspiration, courtesy of Jen.

  2. Sweet round-up! Love Kezzie’s pattern-mixing, the modern print of Xat’s dress, and the lovely setting and vibe of Melissa’s photo. And Erin, Salazar, and I all wore strappy sandals! 🙂

  3. We all found flowers and greenery to pose in front of, too! Ah, I love spring/summer.
