Spring? What Spring?

I’m not feeling this outfit at all. Granted, it looked better in my head. I was thinking black stripes, tan, light-washed jeans, all classic items, right? But this looks awkward as hell. And the brooch is a total afterthought. I guess this in-between weather just got to me. For the entire month of March (and maybe even before that, I can’t remember), the sky has been the color of dirty cotton balls and it’s been drizzling or foggy most days. I appreciate the new leaves and the flowers, and I know I will complain when the sun arrives and it gets hot, but can we just get something else to break up the monotony here, please?
I envy those of you who get to have a real spring with sunshine and shit. All we get is fog, smog… and… uh, bugs.

My words exactly, Salazar. What spring?! I honestly think that we’re going back in time and this is really February or early March or something. Highs today in the mid 40s and it’s going be a nice crisp 32 tomorrow. Nice… So like I said, what spring?!
Oh, and did I mention all the rain that we’ve been getting? Yeah, I know that saying, “April showers bring May flowers” but did the showers have to bring the cold too? I think we’ll both be eating our words when it starts getting hot in our respective countries in a few months, but still, why the cold, right?. Or who knows? We may end up with a mild summer just like we had a mild winter this year. Ohio is a strange state indeed when it comes to weather. Over the past week, we’ve literally had sunshine, rain, snow, warm to almost hot weather, cold weather, high winds and all that crap in between where you’re not sure what it’s doing but you do your best to dress for whatever nature will throw at you. It’s sort of like playing roulette. You pick your outfit for the day and hope that you get weather where you won’t be burning up or freezing.
If you ever want to return to the US Salazar, and experience like a dozen different climates all in the same week (or same day for that matter), Ohio is the state to visit.
P.S. I think your outfit is pretty cool!
Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. I like this blazer plus jeans and stripes look! It is such a nice casual classic. Great look!
