Finally, Summer

This is my submission for Everybody Everywear’s color-blocking challenge, and possibly the most summery outfit I’ve worn during my 30×30. This week is the first time that (to me at least) it really feels like summer around here. The past few weeks were just a long stretch of mugginess followed by rain followed by more mugginess. I like rain, but you know, like that Garbage song goes, “I’m only happy when it rains”, or more exactly, when it’s raining. I don’t care for what precedes and follows it. It’s still hotter than hell, but at least the sky is clear, the sun is shining, and our clothes can finally dry nicely instead of growing mold on the line (we don’t have a dryer, almost nobody in Vietnam uses one unless they own a laundromat.)

I might be standing on the burial ground of several rats here…

T-shirt: Forever21, Shorts: Old Navy (thrifted & dyed)
Necklace: Modcloth, Shoes: Converse, borrowed from my sister

P/S: It started raining just as I finished typing this. Typical.

Color Blocking: Everbody, Everywear

Ah! Owl necklace! I was so going to say something else until I saw the owl and then that’s all I could think. I have a necklace really, really similar to that one.
And now I can’t remember what else I was going to say…
hmm. This is what happens when 1. I see owls, and 2. am sick.
