Yin Yang Cats

I bought this blazer/coat from an online vintage/secondhand shop. It’s another case of not checking the measurements carefully enough, and when I finally received it, it ended up much bigger than I thought. But it’s super light and warm, so I’m keeping it.

For this outfit, I kept things simple so the blazer can take center stage (but I can’t help adding a “me” touch – this yin-yang cat pin, a gift from my sister.) Looking at the photos, though, I think I should’ve worn my black alligator boots to add some visual counterpoint – these black lace-up boots are a little too delicate and made me look like an inverted triangle. Oh well. Big shoulders are on trend anyway.

That’s a beautiful blazer. I can see why you you fell in love with it and I adore how you added your yin yang cat pin. Very cute!

  2. You can just call it your “Boy Friend” jacket. I have quite a few larger jackets like this and love them. It doesn’t bother me at all that they are a couple of sizes too big. The houndstooth plaid is gorgeous, I would have jumped at this also. And you cat pin! I just got a 2nd hand black/gold cat pin this week-I collect pins of the “wilder” species of cats.
