SIA: Melodies

Welcome to another SIA challenge! This week, our inspiration is the painting “Melody (Musica)” by English painter Kate Bunce, and we have a lot of exciting outfits, so let’s get to it!

First up is our co-host, Jen, who layered her floral shirt dress over a sleeveless fit-and-flare dress. So clever and such a pretty transitional outfit!

Next is Bev, who had the perfect top – and check out her post for a close-up of her gorgeous necklace:

Mike‘s outfit is simple and on point as usual, but check out the carpet in his photo – isn’t it perfect for the painting or what?

Our co-host Daenel put together a lovely fall-appropriate floral outfit:

Kezzie always features something special in her outfits, and this time is no exception:

Kimberly has a lovely, colorful outfit, and her boots are spot-on:

Believe it or not, Kezzie is not the only one featuring a mandolin/guitar in her photo – newcomer Catherine also has one!

And finally, here’s me:

What a fun SIA all around! Remember to check back next week for Daenel’s choice of inspiration!

  1. […] It’s SIA time once again, and it was Salazar’s turn to curate the challenge.  She chose a nice looking painting by English painter, Kate Bunce called Melody Musica. Salazar was planning to save this one for next spring, but felt that was too long to wait to use it for SIA, so she decided to “spring” it on us a little early, which I think was an excellent choice. You can see the painting for yourself, as well as today’s round-up, by going to her blog at 14 Shades of Grey. […]

What an excellent set of outfits! I like the different approaches. Bev’s top is super! I love that Catherine also used an instrument from the lute family. Is it a flat-back mandarin? Is it a Ukelele? I’d like to know!!!

  3. I really like your outfit. Those colors together are so pretty.
