Weekly Capsule 21.3 &4: The Heat

Is it just me, or is May a really long month? Maybe it’s just me and all of us here in Hanoi, because it’s been a particular hot month – it was around 100F when I took these photos last week, and it’s going to be 105 over the next two days (and heat index is close to 120!!!) Usually we have a few warm days followed by some rain, but this year it was almost like one big month-long heat wave, with no sign of letting up any time soon. So my outfits in the next two weeks, at least, are not going to be interesting. My brain is (almost literally) fried.

And yes, I have been wearing these boyfriend jeans a lot. I’ve been searching for a pair to replace them but found nothing I like so far. Maybe I should look for straight-leg jeans instead of a true boyfriend fit, which tends to be baggier.

My looks this week (or last week, rather. It’s convenient, scheduling posts a week ahead, but it’s also confusing. Sometimes I have to remind myself that these were last week):

  1. I love the hot air balloon print! And those are pretty great jeans! Thanks for linking up with us for Passion4Fashion!

That cat tee is sweet!!! I remember the difficulty of dressing when I lived in S.E Asia (not exactly sure where Vietnam is in relation to Indonesia, sorry Geography has NEVER been my strong point) and I understand the feeling of dying in unrelenting heat! X

I don’t envy your unbearably hot temperatures Salazar. Though it gets hot here, it’s nothing compared to what you guys get in Vietnam. We very rarely hit the triple digits, but with the kind of humidity that we get sometimes, we don’t need triple digits to feel like we’re in the frying pan. And if we get an early rain and then the sun comes out after it stops, we bake for the rest of the day.
And no, it’s not just you. May has indeed been a very long month for all of us I think. I don’t know what it is, but March, May and July seem to be the longest months of the year.
