Weekly Capsule 27.1: Flea Market
Posted: July 7, 2015 Filed under: Capsule, Clothes | Tags: blue, capsule summer/fall 2015, dandelion graphic tee, navy linen pants, necklace, white, white striped slip-ons 2 CommentsI wore this last Sunday to go to a charity flea market with a couple of friends. I’ve been going through thrifting withdrawal ever since I moved home, so I was really excited about it. Unfortunately, I forgot that my style has changed a lot since then, and the stuff there was so more boho than I usually like anyway – I prefer twee/vintage when it comes to thrifted stuff – so I didn’t get anything. Oh well. At least it was a nice outing… or it would’ve been, if it wasn’t crazy hot (102 and climbing).

Weekly Capsule 24.4: Cats And Dogs
Posted: June 19, 2015 Filed under: Capsule, Clothes | Tags: blue, capsule spring/summer 2015, green, navy skinny jeans, necklace, olive cat tee, white, white striped slip-ons 2 CommentsI almost didn’t take pictures of this outfit because – come on, t-shirt and jeans and sneakers, how basic can you get? But we’ve just had a big rain shower, and the air felt so nice and cool that I just wanted to be outside for a while, so I figured, why not. Might as well take outfit pictures too.
I also feel like I should explain my post title a bit. It’s a reference to the phrase “raining cats and dogs”, of course, but it’s also related to my outfit in that there is a cat on my shirt and my sneakers were (partly) redesigned by my dog. Yeah, it’s deep.

Weekly Capsule 24.2: Dog’s Tooth
Posted: June 16, 2015 Filed under: Capsule, Clothes | Tags: blue, bracelet, capsule spring/summer 2015, navy skinny jeans, white, white lace tee, white striped slip-ons 3 CommentsNo, not houndstooth, as in the print. Dog’s tooth, as in my dog, who, upon seeing these new sneakers (that I bought along with the black pair that I wore last week), immediately seized them and processed to chew a hole through one of them. Thankfully my sister was able to fix it by patching it up and adding a similar patch to the other shoe, so they don’t look too bad… at least from afar.
Anyway, I wore this to a co-worker’s baby shower. It was casual, and I knew there were going to be other babies there, so I put together something I could run around in. I’m more comfortable with kids and babies than I used to be, now that I’ve had practice with my niece and nephew, but I still want to wear the most comfy outfit when I’m around them. The white shirt, in hindsight, could have been a mistake, but luckily none of the kids was particularly grubby 😛
