Sweet Dreams

Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by Rus Khasanov’s “Sweet Dreams” video. I mostly took inspiration from the video as a whole, though the blue-and-pink color scheme is a major part of said inspiration. I also thought that the pattern and bobbles on my sweater are a good nod to the drops of paint and bubbles in the video, and the shine of the skirt can reflect the glitter without being too literal about it. Overall, I’m really happy with the outfit. Check back on Wednesday to see how everybody else did, and don’t forget, if you’re interested in becoming in SIA host, to email me and/or Terri before January 21st!

Who’s The Fairest (Isle) Of Them All?

Sorry for that terrible pun of a title. Fair Isle sweater is definitely one of my obsessions this winter season – you’ve seen my cardigan and the navy sweater I wore last week, and here’s another one (all thrifted, of course.) The colors are quite bright, so I’m keeping the rest of the outfit simple and neutral, but I still wanted to put in a little more effort than just pairing it with jeans, hence my white pants. However, I just noticed that there is some pink in the pattern of the sweater that perfectly matches my pink velvet skirt, so if I want to be really daring, I could pair them together. Maybe next season…
