These outfits are pretty simple, which is why I’m grouping them together. I simply pull colors from the shirt – red and navy – and match them to my bottoms and shoes. Basic, yes, but it works, so why mess around with it? Besides, I’m getting to the end of the semester, which means I’m again too busy to think about outfits, so something deceptively simple like these is perfect.
As I prepared these photos for the blog, I realized that I wore very similar things the same time last year – something about July that makes my outfits take on a decidedly floral look. I guess it’s because the summer flowers in our garden are starting to bloom, so I can’t help but draw some inspirations from them, which means bringing out my floral shirts, green bottoms, and brown shoes. They may not be the most imaginative “flower-inspired” looks, but they’re serviceable and easy to throw on, and in the summer, that’s all I’m asking for.
And on that note, here are some more of our flowers – it’s been a while since I shared these, so enjoy!
The number of COVID cases in my country is spiking again, so I’m back to working from home (*sighs*), and for the foreseeable future, I’m going to post backlogged outfits. This one is from a few weeks ago, when the weather still couldn’t decide if it wants to be warm or cold (it’s fully warm now). However, the weird in-between weather has given me the chance to try a new look – sandals with socks. I’ve always loved visible socks and have worn them with heels, but socks with sandals always strikes me as a bit dorky, so I’ve never tried it before. These sandals, though, are more like heels anyway, so I think it works.
