We finally got our first real cold snap of the year, one that looks like it will last more than a couple of days. And, as expected, I also got my first sore throat of the year. Luckily we always have honeyed limes on hand now, so my throat got better real soon and it didn’t become a full-blown cold.
The outfit is another one of my attempts at pattern mixing, but again I think I’ve flubbed it. The blues match… but that’s about it. There is nothing else that links the two patterns together. *sighs* Baby steps…

I wore this last Sunday when I went to a coffee shop with a friend for some catching up before the holiday and a belated Galentine’s celebration. We had a great time, but I wish we could walk around for a bit – we couldn’t, because the traffic was insane. I didn’t remember it being this crowded on the days leading up to the Lunar New Year! The only good thing was the bus was nice and empty because all the students have gone home for the holiday.
Anyway, with these last three outfits, I think I’ve got enough to mix and match for the rest of the holiday. Yeah, they’re all pretty much the same – sweatshirts, jeans, and boots, but it’s my uniform and I’m sticking to it.
Sweatshirt: H&M, Jeans: Pull&Bear, Boots: local shop (they are falling apart even as I type this, so I need to look for a new pair, and soon)
Here’s a tip: want to wear a scarf with your cowl-neck sweater? Just get a giant blanket scarf and cover up the cowl-neck part. Bam, you’re done.
Figuring out how to style said giant scarf, without making it look like a living thing trying to crawl onto your face, is another matter…
