SIA Inspiration: Robert Henri

It’s Daenel’s turn to host SIA, and here’s her pick:

This is “Girl in Rose and Gray (Miss Carmel White)” by American painter Robert Henri. The neutral colors (the title says “Rose and Gray”, but I actually saw beige and brown…?) and the soft drapes of the dress can be interpreted in a lot of ways, so I’m looking forward to seeing how everybody does! Remember to send your outfits to Daenel (livingoutsidethestacks@gmail.com) by next Tuesday, July 27th. Have fun!

It is a beautiful image! My mind is running wild with ideas already. I also don’t see rose and gray but rather peaches, tans, browns, and ivory.

  2. This is a beautiful painting, but I don’t see any grey or rose either, but white, orange and brown…
