Gold Roots

I went with the black-and-white theme of the installation, and added this gold brooch, which has both the gold touch of the frame and the root-like shape of the ropes. I thought about wearing my black t-strap heels to further mimic the ropes, but they look too heavy, so I went with these simple black pumps instead. However, I’m still kicking myself for not remembering my braided black belt – it would’ve been the perfect finishing touch! But well, not everything can be perfect, can it?
If you haven’t sent me your outfit, you still have until tomorrow, and don’t forget to come back on Wednesday to see other outfits inspired by this amazing installation!
Yes, I can see it. That pin is amazing! This whole outfit is something I do wear, complete with black top and white pants. I really like this styling-very classy and great for the art installation that you picked.
Oh wow, this is SUCH a gorgeous outfit! It’s achingly chic! I love the combination of the blouse and trousers (oooh, they are such a nice shape- where are they from?!) and the brooch is the piece de la resistance. I agree about your choice of these shoes- the others might be too fussy.
Thanks, Kezzie! The trousers are from Mango (last season, I believe?) They’re really comfy to wear, but they wrinkle like crazy, so I don’t wear them as much as I should.
Such a lovely outfit, and a great interpretation of the art work. Your brooch is the perfect finishing touch!
