SIA Inspiration: Oska Schlemmer
Posted: December 9, 2019 Filed under: Style Imitating Art | Tags: style imitating art Leave a commentIt’s my turn to host SIA, and as it is the last SIA challenge of 2019 (we’re taking a break during the Christmas/New Year holiday), I’ve decided to pick something a little different:
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the Triadisches Ballett (Triadic Ballet), developed by Oskar Schlemmer, a German artist of the Bauhaus School. Based on the principle of the trinity, it has 3 acts, 3 participants (2 male, 1 female), 18 costumes, and a different color and mood for each act. I thought it would make a fun challenge, as you can get your inspiration from any of the acts (or from the entire ballet.) I’m also including some screenshots of the costumes so you can have your pick:
Remember to send your outfit to me by next Tuesday, December 17th. Have fun!
