SIA Inspiration: Ali Ibn Hamzeh Holy Shrine

This is a picture I took of the Ali Ibn Hamzeh Shrine in Shiraz, Iran. I’ve just gotten back from a trip to Iran and let me tell you, it was dazzling, sometimes literally so, as is the case here. This 19th-century shrine houses the tomb of Emir Ali, a relative of Imam Reza, and is famous for the mirror tilework that covers its entire interior. I will tell you more about it in my travel posts, but for now, let’s focus on the artwork. Glitters/sequins would be an obvious choice; as for colors, there are greens and yellows and touches of light blue to choose from. I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with! Remember to send me your outfit by next Tuesday, February 26th. Have fun!
Oh, be still my heart! Green is the best color in the world!! And this photo, this shrine has so many subtle shades of my favorite color. Hope I can do it justice with my interpretation. Gorgeous.
