SIA Inspiration: Cleopatra

It’s Jen’s turn to host SIA, and she chose a very interesting piece:

This is the poster for the 1917 film “Cleopatra” starring Theda Bara. The film itself was destroyed in a fire, with only fragments remaining, but its historical and artistical values cannot be denied. Jen chose it because of its depiction of a strong, no-fucks-given woman is just what she (and we) all need after the shitshow last week in US politics; plus the colors are seasonally appropriate.

Don’t forget to send your outfits to Jen (librarianforlifestyle@gmail.com) by next Tuesday, October 9th. Enjoy!

I love this! And I agree. I can’t take all the crap that’s been happening over here lately. I might live here, but US politics just plain sucks at times, particularly with certain people in charge…
I stand with you all in this.

Should be fun! Not sure what I’m going to do yet.

  2. Oh wow, this is awesome! I’m not sure how to even begin to do it justice.
