SIA Inspiration: Vintage Vogue Cover
Posted: October 24, 2016 Filed under: Style Imitating Art | Tags: style imitating art 1 CommentHere is Jen’s pick for this week’s SIA – a lovely vintage cover of Vogue magazine:
I literally sighed when I saw this. They don’t make them like this anymore, do they? Compared to this, the modern Vogue covers are so repetitive and boring – just slap the face of a celebrity du jour in the middle of that and you’re done. Nothing like this striking, simple elegance. And of course, the color scheme is quite appropriate for Halloween (and right up my alley too!)
So, if this inspires you, put together an outfit, take a photo, and send it to Jen (librarianforlifestyle@gmail.com) by next Monday, October 31st. Happy Halloween!
OOoh, ok, I hope I remember to do this! Ha, theoretically I could wear what I wore last time- seems to be the same colours!!
