Librarian Style

I don’t know why, but I feel like a librarian in this outfit. Is it the combination of blazer and loafers? Maybe I was subconsciously influenced by my librarian blog friends. Or maybe it was this new blog I just discovered, Librarian Wardrobe. It’s like a street style blog, but with librarians! You can submit your outfits to the site (if you are a librarian, of course), and they also have weekly themes, like “Socks” or “Halloween”. It’s really fun. You should check it out whether you’re a librarian or not.

You are a librarian, Salazar, no question. With all of the books that you read, and all that you do on the side, I think you’d make a great librarian, for real. Librarians are busy people, as you can see and you are one of them! People often say that to me too, but I think it’s because I’ve worked in a library for so long (even though technically I’m not a librarian). But I know a lot of books and sometimes I even help the librarians out with readers advisory in helping them recommend books to people that come in (It helps to know the Dewey Decimal System too for this as I can zip through the shelves and stacks and come back with whatever they need). Maybe one of these days, I’ll go and get my MLIS. With all the talk of earning tenures and talks of librarian work lately, I’m feeling more and more encouraged to do this. And I think you’re right in that we’re all subtitling influencing your style. 😉 Great look!

  2. Heee, I can confirm hand clapping! 😀 I love the Librarian Wardrobe site — it’s linked on my Blog Love page — and I know one of the originators of the site (she works in Oregon, and we librarians are a pretty tightknit group in this state). And yes, I’ve submitted a few outfit pics to Librarian Wardrobe myself! 😀
