Weekly Capsule 20.2: Uncovered

We got some rain over the weekend, so it’s been blessedly cool this week, meaning it’s in the lower 90’s instead of nearing 100. It also means that I can bring out my sleeveless tops – I know, sounds like an oxymoron, but it’s actually better to cover up when it’s sunny out. In Vietnam during the summer, pretty much the only people you see wearing shorts and sleeveless tops are tourists. The locals (especially the women) are all in these long-sleeved robes designed to block out the sun and the dust. I don’t wear it because my commute is only 15 minutes on the bike, but sometimes even I feel like I need one.

P/S: The outfit was a direct copy of this (the tumblr is lovely, I only wish the blogger would take more outfit photos, because her style is adorable). I should’ve won a necklace too; this pin is cute, but it’s tiny – I’m pretty sure it’s a tie pin – so you can barely see it.

  1. This is such a perfect, minimalist look. The leopard print flats are the perfect pop of pattern!

Glad to hear that the weather has “cooled” off for you over there. I wish that it would warm up for us over here though. It’s been in the mid to upper 40s for the last day and a half or so. Feels more like autumn in late October than it does spring in late May. We’re having to break out the sweaters and jackets once again. Yeah, Ohio has some pretty wacky weather.
