The Last Of Summer, part I

I’m finally finished picking out my capsule wardrobe, and I’m telling you, it has been a trip. But more on that later. Until I show you guys what I picked (next Tuesday, last day of September), for the rest of the week I’m going to wear some of the pieces that didn’t make the cut. They’re mostly summer pieces anyway, but I was thinking of using them for transition, since it’s going to be quite warm in October still. In the end though, I figured I’ve got enough transitional pieces, so these are the leftovers.

First up is this printed top, which I thought would look good under a blazer when it gets cooler, but it’s way too thin and summery. Guess I’ll save it for next year.

  1. Ooh, I love this shirt, but I understand how it could be too summer-y. Looks wonderful paired with black jeans, though!

  2. I can’t wait to see your capsule wardrobe! I thought about doing it, but I just… always fail at these things. I have/like too many clothes, and my wardrobe is not cohesive enough. And my style is not minimalist enough (or at all, haha!)
It’s too bad that shirt is too summery; it’s so pretty!
