Before The Storm

It was insanely hot and muggy today, and shortly after I took these photos, it started raining. OK, “raining” is an understatement, it was more like somebody took a giant water-cannon to our house for about two hours. Still, it was very satisfying after nearly a week feeling as if I was being steamed alive.

Anyway, this shirt – I just got it and I’m super excited about it because it’s reminiscent of those Edwardian embroidered dresses that I love. I might not be able to pull of a whole dress, but a top is much easier to style, even if it does look a bit like a maternity top (in fact, I got it while shopping for post-maternity clothes with my sister!)

What a beautiful top! It does have a dreamy Edwardian feel to it 🙂 It’s great with the dark jeans.

  2. That top is super cute! I love how long it is, and while I could see it looking very unflattering and maternity-ish on some people, it looks great on you.
