Style Imitating Art: Spring Rain

Welcome to another week of SIA! This week’s looks are inspired by the very appropriate “Spring Rain” of Art Deco artist Erté. Everybody knocks it out of the park this week with spring colors and pattern mixing, so let’s get right to it!

First up is Stephanie, whose skirt mimics the “rain” perfectly. I think we all agree that she needs a blog, don’t you?

Then we have Kezzie. How awesome is her parasol?

Next up we have Isabella, also with an umbrella and a super cute scarf:

Our co-host Jen is so pretty in her stripe-and-polka-dot ensemble:

Love Gracey‘s color-blocked look (with a hint of polka dot):

Erin‘s subtle pattern mixing is spot-on:

Amber, who hasn’t taken part in SIA for a while, is back in fine form with her lovely skirt:

And finally, here’s me:

I just realize – it’s all dresses and skirts this week. Must be something about the painting that brings out the girly side in all of us. Thank you, ladies, for participating! Don’t forget to check back with Jen next week for another inspiration!

Beautiful! As a huge fan of polka-dots, Art Deco, and all of the colors in this painting, I had a feeling I’d like this week’s round-up. Very pretty interpretations!

  2. It’s spring!! Spring means we can finally not have to wear pants every day 🙂

  3. Kezzie says:

Hurrah for pretty girly Spring outfits!!! Your one is lovely Salazar- I loved the way the items came together- don’t know what you were talking about in your last post!! The necklace is the epitomy of the lady’s lacy collar!

  4. Oh, everyone looks wonderful. It’s so fun to see all of these spring colors in one place!

  5. Such pretty, pretty colors and feminine silhouettes. Love all the small details, like Stephanie’s and Izzy’s scarves and Gracey’s orange belt.
