New Shoes, Old Style

See, what did I tell you about these shoes? I’m just going to wear them all the time now. Of course it helps that they’re a neutral color and go with pretty much every silhouette. This outfit is a bit too neutral for me, actually, but none of the “pop of color” I tried looked quite right. Besides, I’ve been wearing more and more neutrals. Looking back at my recent outfits, it’s usually a bunch of neutrals with just one thing of color. It’s not that I’m too lazy to spend time thinking which color goes with which (though it certainly makes getting dressed easier), it’s just that my style has changed to the point where I don’t want to wear too many colors anymore.

It’s funny how style changes, isn’t it? Though my style doesn’t exactly change, rather it just becomes more defined. When I first started the blog I tried to be more girly, but now I realize that isn’t me. I’m much more comfortable with just a few feminine touches here and there.

I love that leopard print scarf! It’s just the right pop of pattern, without changing the overall color palette. Super cute, and those shoes really are cute with everything!

  3. Love the new shoes! And the standout in an outfit doesn’t have to be color. I think the standout in this outfit is the scarf b/c of the print. A very cool, chic look. 🙂

  4. I know what you mean about style getting more defined! I think my style has done that too, over the years. It hasn’t exactly changed dramatically, just gotten… more “me.”
I like this outfit a lot! It fits you very well, and it’s very elegant. That scarf is awesome! And those shoes… I want them.
