Statement Brooch

How typical “style blogger” is this outfit? I mean, chambray (and polka dot) shirt, cable knit sweater, ankle boots… all that’s missing is a statement necklace. Of course this is me, so I accessorized with a brooch instead.

I just realized that I wore this sweater and these boots last Monday too. Apparently they just go well together. Also, I really need to retire (in the Blade Runner sense) these boots because the leather is all cracked and falling apart in the back, but I have yet to find a replacement pair. How come I’m always looking for boots at the end of season?

So cute, perfect for academia. Love the Blade Runner reference 🙂

  2. Haha, I’m always looking for shoes or clothes at the wrong end of the season, too! this year is the first time I’ve gotten boots at the right end of the cold weather.
It’s funny how there are just some outfits that feel blogger typical. But hey, bloggers are stylish so that’s okay! I love this take on it. Your shirt is especially cute!

  3. I think this is a whole lot better than most typical blogger’s outfits – I absolutely LOVE it. And I just realized that I have a very, very similar outfit (polka dot chambray, cream sweater, tan ankle boots, jeans) planned, so no wonder I love this one so much.
