Yggdrasil

The blog is on its way to becoming about what I read/watched, accompanied by unrelated outfit pictures, instead of a style blog. I lead a very boring life compared to other people, let alone other bloggers; my outfits are not worth much discussion anymore now that I don’t experiment with my style as much; so if I don’t write about TV or movies or books, I would have nothing else to write about… unless you guys want to hear how our chickens are doing (they’re laying, so we have fresh eggs every morning, thank you every much.)

Anyway, this outfit is not entirely unrelated, because I wore it to see Thor: The Dark World, or as I’d like to call it, Thor: Longer and Greasier Hair. Because seriously. Wash your hair. So I could probably pretend that the tree on my necklace is Yggdrasil. As for the movie, here are some quick bullet points:

– It’s fun (and funny), though not as good as the first one, but I totally expected that. Without Loki and Darcy, it would’ve been a snooze-fest. I’m also kinda bummed that Jane Foster is too much of a damsel in distress here compared to the first one.

– I heard this joke about Malekith being Legolas’ weird uncle, so I alternated between giggling and swooning (because it’s Christopher Eccleston) every time Malekith appeared. Scary make-up and all.

– Knowing that the director, Alan Taylor, is mostly known for directing Game of Thrones, I watched for any familiar face and recognized Blackfish Tully (a quick imdb check says his character here is Tyr), even though he’s mostly out of focus. Yes I watch too much GoT.

– Zachary Levi looks weird in a blond wig.

P/S: I’m pretty sure I’ve worn this exactly outfit before but I don’t care nearly enough to look it up.
