An Outfit And Two Announcements

For the last ABC’s of Style challenge, “Z for Zebra”, I decided to have a little fun and brought out all of my animal prints, because when you get a chance to wear your zebra belt, leopard flats and giraffe collar, you take it.

It’s been such a fun challenge. Big thanks to Kayla for hosting! (I feel like this is the second time I wrote that sentence.)

Shirt: Target, Skirt: thrifted, Flats: LA Fashion District
Belt: thrifted via Buffalo Exchange, Collar: self-made

Anyway, on to the announcements. The first one: it’s my turn to pick the painting for the Style Imitating Art feature! Since Jess went with a painting of a lady last time, I wanted to shake things up a bit and picked a landscape, namely The Artist’s Garden at VĂ©theuil by Monet:

There are a lot of colors and texture to choose from here. I already have a rough idea in mind, and I can’t wait to see how Jess interprets it. And if you want to participate, just shoot me an email (14shadesofgreyblog@gmail.com) with your outfit photo before Sunday night (that’s February 26.)

The second announcement: see that new Smashion button on the sidebar? That’s right, I have a Smashion store now. I’m going home soon, so this is an attempt to pare down my wardrobe before the big move. Check it out!

I don’t know yet. It depends on how the job situation goes – if I find a job that I like, I’ll stay for a while; if not, I’ll just get a job to save up some money and look into some PhD programs. But we’ll see.

  3. Madeleine says:
