Everybody Everywear 2.0: Lace

I must confess, I was a little disappointed when I found out that the next Everybody Everywear challenge was going to be lace. I voted for pleated skirt! I could even do shorts. But lace? I don’t wear lace. Not that I have anything against lace, it’s just a little fussy for my style. I don’t even think I have anything with lace on it… but then I remembered my vintage lace collar. And I was saved.
So yeah, I still don’t wear lace, but I can work with something like this, or maybe a crocheted lace trim. Somehow those seem less fussy to me.

Brooch: vintage via Collectible Glitz (a cameo brooch would be perfect, but this is Victorian enough as it is.)

Your lace collar is so cool. I thought you were wearing a lace trimmed top at first. Also loving the brooch (even without the cameo).

i felt the same way about lace and only just barely remembered my shirt with lace (kind of crochet) trim. i absolutely love your collar with the blue of your shirt. so classic and perfect to show off the lace. you look fabulous!

That collar is darling. I know what you mean about lace, though. I only have a few pieces and they are super functional ones because I feel like lace can very easily become fussy and old ladyish.
You look lovely! I had the same problem finding some lace in my closet! My shirt only had a tiny bit of lace, but I guess it worked and I stuck in a pleated skirt anyway!
