ModCloth Natural Style Bangles Copycat

After seeing these bangles on ModCloth, I was immediately inspired to do a DIY version. I don’t usually wear any jewelry on my arms/wrists except for my watch, but this looks like a fun project.

As I was looking for some plain plastic bangles as my base, I came across a tutorial book on how to turn plastic water bottles into bangles. And because I’d like to spend as little money as possible, I went with that. Though I’m sure any old plastic bangles will look even better (they’re thicker.)

What You Need:
– Plastic water bottle (quart size), or plastic bangles
– Craft glue (I used all-purpose glue)
– Ribbons or strips of fabric
– Box cutter and scissors (to cut out the plastic bottles)

Comparison between ModCloth’s bangles and mine:

Not bad for a lazy Memorial Day afternoon.
