About

I don’t like talking about myself much, so here’s the gist of it:

I’m a film school graduate from Vietnam. I went to school in the US and am now living in my parents’ basement (figuratively speaking, I do live with my parents though.) I love to read, write, cook and take photos. Clothing has never been very high up my list of priorities, so this is my attempt at finding my personal style. And, on a smaller scale, by taking pictures of myself and documenting what I wear, I hope to feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

Also, I won’t be surprised if this blog becomes an outlet for me to ramble about my obsession with random stuff too – costume dramas, mostly. Maybe a bit of traveling. And books and cooking too, if I can fit it all in.

My name is Duc (which means “virtue” in Sino-Vietnamese), and my Internet alias is Salazar, after Salazar Slytherin (my favorite Hogwarts house is actually Ravenclaw, but I prefer the name “Salazar.”) You can call me by either.

I consider myself a novice in a lot of things and an expert in nothing. I’m here to learn and help you guys learn, if I can. Enjoy!

P/S: The blog is named after the album by Staind. I’d wanted “A Lack of Color” after a song by Death Cab for Cutie, but the address is already taken. Yes, I listen to both Staind (used to anyway) and Death Cab for Cutie.
