Dark Roman Wine

This sweater is another hand-knitted one from my mom’s college day. The maroon, uh, excuse me, oxblood color (shut up) is so on trend (shut up shut up) that I had to ask my mom if she could pass it on to me. Kidding. I wasn’t thinking about its the trendiness (and it’s not even real maroon anyway, just dark red, hence the post title) so much as the fact that it’s super warm and goes with everything in my closet. It is a little bit snug on me, though, especially the arms. Anybody has some tips on how to stretch a too small wool sweater?

  1. Your brooch is so pretty!
haha, I never pay attention to trends, and then suddenly I’ll get something and see it later in a magazine and be like “Oh hey, I’m trendy and I don’t even know it!” ;)
I have no idea how to stretch a too-tight wool sweater. If I were you I’d just… keep wearing it until it stretched…? :D

Thanks Kristina! I feel the brooch doesn’t go with the rest of the outfit though. I should remember the “take one thing off before you leave the house” rule
And that’s my plan for the sweater too, only it’s actually too warm now to wear it!

I thrifted that same scarf and wondered where it came from… now I know! I love your collection of cute brooches, and I think it’s so fun that you are wearing your mom’s old clothes :)
