My Own Private Vintage Store

A few days ago I was lamenting the fact that there’s no thrift store or vintage store here in Hanoi. That very evening I was looking for some wool for my mom when I came upon a treasure trove – my mom’s old clothes, all the way back from her college days in the late 60′s. Digging through them was just like going through the racks at a vintage store, it was awesome. So far I’ve appropriated a couple of hand-knitted sweaters and sweater vests (which I’m figuring out how to style without looking like I raided my grandma’s closet), a dress and two skirts that I’m going to bring to the tailor to be shortened, and a bunch of colored tights. I can’t wait to wear them all!

How fun! I love the necklace and those pants are fantastic on you :)

  3. I wish my mom and grandma had kept their old clothes; I remember playing dress up in my grandma’s dresses when I was young, and she doesn’t have them any more. I would give anything to wear those clothes now! Ah!
You look so cute, though! I love the sweater vest.
