This is my interpretation of this week’s SIA inspiration, “Young Corn” by Grant Wood. I’m not entirely happy with it, though. Because I don’t have anything brownish red in my closet, I decided that pumpkin orange will have to do to represent the ground in the painting, but try as I might, any combination of orange and green I put together ended up looking like a leprechaun costume (the black tights might be a bad idea as well.) I guess some color combos are not meant for everyday wear unless they’re really subtle.
