More Chambray, More Neutrals

I added the yellow belt and the leopard flats for some pop, because I feel I’ve been wearing neutrals too much lately for some reason. Actually I have a theory about that: I’ve noticed that in Hanoi people like to wear bright colors in winter. Coats in red are always sold out first, and clothing stores display mostly red stuff in their windows. Whenever I venture out of my hobbit hole, I’ve also seen coats in purple and yellow and teal, even the men prefer brown and navy over black or grey – again it goes back to our culture associating bright colors (like red) with celebrations and happiness. So I guess I dress in neutrals to stand out more in a sea of brights.
P/S: No, the post title is not a reference to “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems”. I almost made that joke but then it would be super lame, since I’ve never even listened to the song.
Shirt/Cardigan/Pants: thrifted, Brooch: vintage
Flats: LA Fashion District shop, Belt: Vietnamese shop

Those flats are so cute! And I like this outfit a lot, especially the bike brooch!
I’ve been a horrible comment-er lately, but I have been reading regularly and you have been KILLING it with these perfectly wearable and simple looks. I love the proportions and mixture of texture and details of this one, especially.
Thanks Kate! I actually thought “This is something Kate would wear” when I put this together… probably because of the ankle skinny pants
So cute! Love your flats and your brooch. Have a nice weekend
