Asleep On A Train

We’re going on a night train, so I thought the post title is appropriate (it’s a song by Radical Face.) I’ll be back on Monday with hopefully tons of pictures and stories to share, but until then, here are a few pictures I took along the way of our road trip this past weekend.

The weather went back and forth between blazing sun and pouring rain

It’s freaky to look out the car window and see the top of the mountain disappearing into the rain

A house on stilts, very common in the mountain areas of Vietnam

My niece, looking like a Victorian street urchin in Debbi’s hat

That’s actually a cemetery in the distance – each of those little shrines is a grave

Gotta love the water buffaloes. “Oh don’t mind us, we’re just walking in front of traffic.”

I have been loving your travel and adventure photos, it must be so good for your soul!
It’s so lush and green. I love it. (:
